All breeds of dogs are catered for at 'Hair and Hound'.

I'm very patient and experienced when handling nervous, aggressive, elderly and even disabled dogs and i'm more than willing to allow the extra time needed to complete their grooming session. Sometimes an additional charge may be required due to the extra time needed, but you can be assured that your dog will be in very good hands.

 

Full Groom

Our “Full Groom” Includes:

• Health checking of your dog for any obvious concerns.

• Groom through to remove knots, tangles, dead hair or shedding hair.

• Inspection of foot pads for excess hair and debris.

• Trimming nails.

• Ear care – removing excess hair and cleaning.

• Trimming of the sanitary area.

• Bathing in a luxurious bath using a shampoo specially formulated for the specific coat needs of your pet including a conditioner if needed.

• Drying using a professional stand dryer whilst brushing.

• Styling in a breed specific haircut, or a style of your choice. Techniques offered include: clipping, scissoring, hand-stripping.

• Finishing Fragrance Spray.

• And a yummy chew stick!

 

When grooming, the dog’s lifestyle, skin conditions, health issues, condition of the coat and owner’s requirements are taken into consideration as these can determine the way in which a dog is to be styled. A thorough consultation will take place prior to grooming your dog so that there are no misunderstandings. At all times your dog is reassured, spoken to, given attention and treated lovingly as if it was our own dog. Time is always taken to become familiar with your dog in order to develop trust. This is very important for both the groomer and the dog.
